Hello,
My name is Taniah Johnson. I am a second year member of Lovelady 4-H & this will be my second year showing fryer rabbits in the county fair. My rabbits were purchased for $220 in early March weighing 2.5 pounds. In order to show, my rabbits needed to weigh 3-5 pounds. I feed & watered them daily to get their weight up. Their weight gain health was monitored weekly to ensure they were doing well. Also at this time I had to scoop their poop every other day so their area wouldn't get messy, especially if it rained. The hardest part about showing rabbits is taming them down & slaughtering them. If a rabbit is tame it makes it easier to examine & weigh them. Other than that, I really enjoy working with rabbits.
