Goat - Aubrey Waits Hi, my name is Aubrey Waits and I am 10 Years old . I am in the 4th Grade at Latexo Elementary and a member of the Homestead 4-H. This is my second year to show a goat at the county fair. This year I bought my Wether in August and have been feeding, practicing showmanship and exercising him everyday to prepare for the show. Beau and I have worked really hard this year to be successful and even though I'm disappointed I wont get to show him at the county fair I know I have developed skills and learned lessons that I will get to carry with me for years to come. When I got Beau he weighted 42 lbs. and now he weights 110 lbs. and is ready to go to market. I look forward to showing next year because I know I will be able to do even better because of what I have learned from this years project. This year has taught us all one of the toughest parts of being involved in Agriculture. Even when you work hard and do everything you can to be successful , sometimes things just don't work out. I am proud to be involved in the livestock industry and won't let this situation discourage me from being apart of it for the rest of my life.
